Kitchen Diner Conversion

Mr & Mrs Freeman

Loft Conversion & Kitchen Diner Conversion

Project #1: Loft Conversion.

Project #2: Kitchen / Diner Renovation.

Dream Space #1: Master Bedroom with Ensuite + family cloakroom.

Dream Space #2: Spacious Kitchen / Diner, opening out onto rear decking.

The Project #1: Mr & Mrs Freeman have two teenage sons and their dream living space was a master bedroom and en-suite, which they could use as a personal haven.  Their existing property had three bedrooms, one of which was used as an office and a single family bathroom.

Their conversion provided an impressive master bedroom with modern tilt and turn French Windows. This feature piece provided stunning panoramic views of Bristol and flooded the room with natural light and fresh air.  Their Master bedroom was complimented by a bath and shower en-suite room.  This was finished in beautiful coloured recycled glass tiles, along with a modern stainless steel sink unit and illuminated mirror.

Mr & Mrs Freeman also wanted an additional cloakroom.  Through careful design of the staircase and use of loft space, an additional cloakroom was also incorporated.

The Project # 2: Following the success of Mr & Mrs Freeman’s loft conversion, we were asked to renovate their kitchen and dining room.  Their 1930’s property had a separate kitchen and dining area, but due to little natural light was very dark and closed in.  Their dream living space was to have a light and spacious kitchen/diner with folding, sliding doors that would open out into their back decking.

Their renovation involved removing the dividing wall, which included an old chimney breast.  Extensive support bars where used and new steels inserted to support the bearing wall.  As with their loft conversion, natural light and air was a paramount requirement.  A large skylight was placed in the kitchen and a set of folding sliding doors replaced an old window in the dining area.  To maximise the potential and use of this space, a second set of doors were installed at the back of their reception room.  This gave the option to connect the outside space and kitchen/diner with the reception room for family gatherings or when required.
